McKenzie Drake is a visual artist living and working in Charleston, SC. Her practice reimagines the expansive landscapes of the Southern U.S. to explore place identity amidst movement and change. McKenzie received her MFA in painting from the University of Texas at Austin in 2024, and her BA in studio art and political science from Rhodes College in 2017. Her work has been exhibited across the Southeast, including City Gallery at Waterfront Park (Charleston, SC), The Visual Arts Center at The University of Texas at Austin (Austin, TX), The Meridian Museum of Art (Meridian, MS), Millsaps College (Jackson, MS), and Rhodes College (Memphis, TN).
